I shop a lot in Bangkok and there is one store here called FQ&L with nice clothes of authentic designs. There was a batch of clothes with Egyptian inspired prints, and I love them. Recently, Egypt-inspired costumes are back on fashion runway again, and here a few big names which featured their designs, and everyone can dress like Cleopatras and Tutankhamens.

Alberta Ferretti showed how a simple gown can be stunning with sofisticated embroidery.

I love leggings, but I only go for plain and dark colors to play on the safer side. I don’t have nice long legs like supermodels, so it’s best to stick to the simple leggings to cover those extra skin.
But if you have nice legs, you are so lucky! It’s time to get these pretty colorful leggings, as shown at the fashion runways.

But still, not everyone will look nice in striking colors or holed leggings. You might end up in fashion disaster, if you don’t have the legs for it…

How many women can carry this look?
I was tempted to get another Coach bag but since the market is pretty bad and I’m relying on hubby’s financially, I don’t think it’s a good idea to get another designer bag now. The temptation is still there, but I can I will regret getting one, especially when our business has just started and we are living on our savings. Shopping during recession and time of uncertainties need more than just some plastic cards, you will have to think about the consequences of swiping the cards as not everyone can afford to pay off the debts as fast as they think.
Thus, if you are still interested to update your wardrobe with designer brands, check out the latest fashion by various fashion houses with clothes that will last you for the next 6 months or not. I personally like Chanel as I am into office wears now! Besides that, tweed is hot this season, and it has always been fashionable by the end of every year. You can’t be wrong getting one.

Spring 2009 Ready-to-Wear by Chanel
The tweed dresses are so mini, you can still wear them in spring. That’s good enough to stretch our shopping budget huh?
I’m not a big fan of Victoria Beckham, and frankly, I’m more interested about her man. LOL! To me, she’s too skinny, and her breasts look awkward with her body proportion. Nonetheless, I like her sense of fashion and how she can look stylish whenever the paparazis snap her photos. Not to mention, how many mothers on earth can afford to wear designer brands from top to toe and have her hair done every single day? Ya, it’s all about money!
I quite like her Spring 2009 Ready-To-Wear collection as the dresses are feminite, body-conscious and sexy with tight fitting from shoulder to knee. You can definitely find yourself in an XO-glass body shape if you can afford to get the exclusive dresses which range from $1,500 to $3,600.

BTW, the dresses can withstand the change of time and seasons. They are classics.
I know winter is not even here yet, but in fashion industry, we have to go one season ahead, right? LOL! Besides that, I’m staying in a tropical country, so I’m not interested to know much about winter wear. It’s not like I can afford a winter trip every year anyway…
I like the clothes from DKNY Spring 2009 Ready-To-Wear. Some of my favorites are…

Bold colors…
It’s street wear and it’s casual. I like the collection, except the high-heeled sneakers. LOL! I’m lazy with shoe lace.
I like the collection by Moschino Resort 2009. They are simple and casual for holiday, but you can easily wear them to work on daily basis as well, if you are staying in a tropical country like me! Most of the designs are ladylike, but if you easily find one which fits the different occasions.
For work or afternoon tea…

For a party or a girl’s night out!!!

For that innocent girl’s-next-door look…

BTW, the coats are pretty nice too, so if you are looking for one, check out the coat by Moschino Resort 2009 collection.

I don’t need any coat in Bangkok, especially under the hot weather like this! But I really hope to get one if I’m going up north by the end of the year, if I can afford it!.
Lace is never out of fashion, as long as you can find a classic piece of lace dress or top, you can always wear it when the trend is back. I keep a few lace dresses which I bought over the years. The designs are simple, so they will not be out of fashion. If I have some special functions which I can go without my kids, maybe I will wear one of those lace dresses.
Check out these designer brands with their lacy designs on the fall runways.

Nonetheless, just don’t overdo with lace. You can easily look older with a wrong piece of dress such as this:

That is definitely not my piece of Prada.
I love strapless dresses, but I can’t wear them anymore. My gal still wants me to carry her and it’s not easy to keep the dress on when a kid in my arms. I go out with my kids most of the time, so for the time being, I don’t have the luxury to look gorgeous. LOL!
Nonetheless, if you have a nice shoulder and willing to bare your arms, go for these strapless dresses:

Versace

Missoni

Gianfranco Ferré

Oscar de la Renta

Tuleh

DKNY

Ralph Lauren
I don’t know much about movies, but I like seeing all those celebrities at the red carpet. Most of them dressed well for the 61st annual Cannes Film Festival, and let’s see who they are:

Mischa Barton

Andrea Osvárt

Devon Aoki

Cate Blanchett

Eva Longoria Parker

Penélope Cruz

Calista Flockhart and her partner Harrison Ford

Paz Vega

Linda Evangelista
So, who do you think is the most fabulous of all?
